You can sit in a noisy place with a friend, like soccer, or a quiet place with a teacher, like the library.

What Is Aac
Helping you continually evaluate your or your child’s developmental and alternative communication systems is key to making them work best for you.
Parental involvement (for children) – successful use of AAC involves the support and involvement of those in the child’s immediate environment – parents and carers are key to AAC success. In order to develop and practice communication skills, a child (especially in the early stages of using AAC) may need more encouragement and opportunities to communicate using their AAC system.
Social partners – there are many things that social partners (those who interact with AAC users) can do that make a huge difference to the experience of an AAC user, whether they are an adult or a child. therapists can advise on how partners can support you or your child to develop skills, depending on your needs.
Vocabulary choices – the words and messages chosen for an AAC system are extremely important – if they are not useful or stimulating to the user or listener, they will not be used.

Ease of use – for communication to be successful, it needs to be easy for the user and fast for the listener – many factors will need to be considered to achieve this goal.
